Why it looks like this

Calm is a specification.

Most tracker apps die of logging fatigue or data-hungry business models. Cadence is engineered against both.

01

Under 10 seconds

Open → Bristol → save. Logging fatigue is the #1 churn driver, so only timestamp and Bristol type are required. Everything else hides behind an expandable details panel you configure.

02

The app is the analyst

You never correlate food and symptoms by hand. The app screens every log and brings suspect foods, confidence scores, and red flags to you, not the other way around.

03

Clinician-ready by default

Exports replicate the NHS/NIDDK 7-day paper diary, Rome IV subtype screens, and PRO2 flare watch. Always labeled "discuss with your doctor", never diagnostic.

Privacy you can see

Your bowel movements are none of our business.

Most health apps are data businesses with a diary attached. Cadence has no servers to leak. The "On this device" pill is persistent chrome, not a settings-page promise.

  • On-device only · no account, no cloud, no sync
  • Works fully offline
  • Photos never leave your phone · opt-in, off by default
  • No ads, no trackers, no analytics SDKs
  • Max one quiet reminder per day, by design
  • Full CSV export free forever · one-tap erase
The contract

What we deliberately left out.

Restraint is a feature. Cadence is a journal, not a feed.

Questions

Fair questions.

Why track bowel movements at all?

Stool type, frequency, and timing are among the earliest signals of IBS, food intolerances, and medication side effects. Gastroenterologists routinely ask patients to keep a bowel diary before appointments. Cadence makes that diary effortless and does the pattern-spotting for you.

Is Cadence a medical device?

No. Cadence is a wellness journal. It organizes your observations and highlights patterns worth discussing with your doctor. It never diagnoses, and every red-flag alert points you back to a clinician.

What does it cost?

Core logging, trends, and one clinician export a month are free forever. Plus adds the correlation engine, unlimited exports, and the diary and caregiver modes. Waitlist members get Plus free at launch.
